God wants you to be clean! Five minutes of random flipping through either testament will throw up dozens of relevant verses.
Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil,
Shower in the morning, clean your bathroom, do good to others, pray for forgiveness. For in Christ all things are redeemed.
1 Thessalonians 4:7
For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.
Don’t arrive at the Pearly Gates full of literal or metaphorical dirt – the Quakers believed a clean home led to a clean mind, and while that might seem old-fashioned to some, maybe there some small grain of truth in it. And a tidy bedroom helps me sleep and find rest, leaving me fresh and full of energy the next morning to continue my mission.
1 Corinthians 14:40

My personal interpretation of this verse is to keep my house and home in order. Wrinkled clothes? I blast them with a garment steamer. Dirty floors? Fetch the mop! Leaving on holiday? I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

The whole of this chapter talks about clean and unclean food. Some of it seems to come from an old-fashioned understanding (or lack) of what was healthy and why, but there’s actually (as you’d expect) a LOT of truth that can be applied to the modern world.
You’ll note that many foods on that list are some of the foodstuffs humans are most allergic to. And the rest is good household tips – proof that God wants you to be clean, in body, mind, and soul.
